"A Baking Tradition now for five generations"

Baking has been a way of life for five generations now. Family legend has it that my grandfather was born in the bakery, because my great-grandmother didn't want to leave the bread to burn! My grandfather grew up as a baker and later became the baker for the entire village.

In another little Sicilian village not to far from his own, lived the woman he was destined to marry. She too grew up in a bakery, only she was a pastry baker. They married and moved to the United States and opened the "Brooklyn Bakery". Later they moved to Syracuse NY and opened Bella Bakery.

Salvatore Bella, my father, kept the tradition going for over twenty years in Syracuse, NY. And while growing up in that bakery, I would watch as only the finest ingredients were used. Dad use to say "give them the best and they'll come back for more.

Our family carries on this great tradition, making Fancy Italian and Eastern European Cookies. We take pride in our product and I think you'll agree it shows.
