Save the date cards

Anyone out there send "save the date cards"? If so how far out do you send them? and do you send to everyone on the guest list???

I sent mine out about 6 months before, which worked out fine but did end up being relatively close to when the invites went out- I ordered postcard paper from the internet which came in 81/2 by 11 sheets perforated into 4 postcards which made printing and separating a breeze- printed on my printer and then used rubber stamp with gold ink- people thought they were professionally done and they were so so simple and inexpensive

I am going to be sending mine out next weekend, which is 9 months before the wedding. I ordered custom magnets, which are adorable! I can't wait to get them out!

I sent out save the date cards six months before my wedding but i have read several place to send them out a year in advance.

I found some awesome Save the date Magnets on SyracuseWedding.com in the invitation section. I sent mine out a year before the date, I have a lot of out of town guests coming so it makes it easier for travel plans and days off.
