Hi. Im from my Long Island and my wedding will be held in Syracuse next summer. I dont no much about the area but I was wondering if anybody could suggest a nice large church, preferably non-catholic since we are not. Also, any comments about hotel syracuse ballroom for reception.

The Ice Farm makes beautiful Ice Sculptures and delivers to Syracuse. www.theicefarm.com
They can color the ice, freeze flowers or objects into the ice, engrave names, ect. Really beautiful work.

Hey , I am from Queens . I am also getting married we will be living in Syracuse too .. we might just do a destination wedding but I am looking into maybe doing it up there since it will most likely be cheaper than here or LI. Let me know if you find a good place !

Long Island! I have family there :)
Syracuse University has a non denominational chapel and it is considerably larger than LeMoyne~ not sure how large your wedding will be. LeMoyne's chapel is very nice and a much cozier feel than most traditional churches as it is a circular type room where all the chairs point towards the middle of the room. I believe that the ceremony can be moved to one side of the room or the other though.
There is also a local non denominational church, Dewitt Community (on Erie Blvd) by the shopping town mall. I know many people who have had weddings here before and loved it. This church is the typical home town church feel~ white building with a steeple.
Hope this helps : )

Stay away from the Hotel Syracuse. Genesee Inn or Syracuse Sheraton are nice in Syracuse. Outside of Syracuse- Lake Shore Yacht Club is wonderful.
