Where to buy a budget wedding gown other than David's Bridal?

I am looking to spend under $500 on my wedding dress and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to shop for a bridal gown other than David's Bridal? I have heard many negative things about DB so I am hesitant to shop there.

I have a Ella Rosa in ivory for sale and matcing flower girl dress as well. The wedding dress is a size 16 corsette back silky taffeta and lace. It also comes with rhinestone veil. The flower girl dress is a Jordan design size 3 ivory silky taffeta. I had a blush pink sash added but it can be easily removed and the original ivory sash is still there. It also comes with matching headband and blush pink flip flops. Looking to sell together but will seperate. Asking 1000 for everything or best offer.

THE DRESS I HAVE IS BRAND NEW AND CAN HAVE ALTERATIONS MADE TO IT IF SIZE 12 IS NOT THE SIZE U NEED. THE DRESS IS GORGEOUS

I have a size 12 Oleg Cassini wedding dress, never been altered never been worn. tags r still on the gown. i have the matching Vail and the skirt to go underneath. all together i paid $1300 but decided to go with another dress. i am now selling it for $600 or b/o. this dress is absolutely beautiful. if u would like pictures or are interested plz contact me at jnpeyton06@yahoo.com

Hi! I was supposed to get married this past spring and never did. I am selling my dress now for a VERY good price. It is a beautiful dress from Alfred Angelo and it is a $700 dress that I paid $500 for. I will accept $350 for it!! I also have the veil to go with it! would possibly use something old something new for bridal gown- not sure if i'd suggest for bridesmaid gowns as i had a difficult experience with them for my bridesmaids gowns-- i kept getting told they'd be in, in a week, then in another week, then in another etc... I don't think they were upfront and honest about timeframes when i initially ordered which because a lot of my bridesmaids were out of state it made it really difficult as I was rush shipping dresses a few weeks before the wedding because of poor timelines ! if you order way in advance- like 8-9 months you should be o.k. but be firm-- wouldn't recommend for tailoring as price doesn't match quality-if in a pinch ok to use for this and they do keep the store very nicely organized so it's a pleasant store to shop in- help is friendly but not pushy which is nice- would use before david's bridal, will get better deals

Believe it or not, if your budget is tight, Ebay has a lot of great options. You can get display dresses for less than your pair of shoes may cost. I was Googling for a certain dress that I wanted and the Ebay link popped up and there was my dress! I bought it for $50, new because it was a display and that dress was only sold to order. Just don't rule out Ebay, a lot of dresses are never worn before.

I went there to look..at first I was going to Davids Bridal but I wanted to check this place out...my mom got her wedding dress there 20 years ago and now so did I. They are very nice and they know what they are talking about. Many good deals. I bought my dress, veil, and head peice there. They do the alterations and preservation of the dress there too. GEAT PLACE

Hi. I bought my dress at NY Bride when they had their discount sale. I'd check them out to see if they have any events like this coming up. The dress I bought was off the rack and cost only $300 (regular $800) I am working with Something Old Something New for my bridesmaids gowns and they have been helpful

Also, there are some Filene's basement sales coming up here's some info on them:

Boston MA - Feb 22nd
NYC - Feb 29th
Paramus NJ March 28th

How many gowns are there?
Anywhere from 1300 to 2500, depending on the store.
How much do they cost?
$249, $499 and $699.
What were the original prices?
$900 to $9,000 plus—Gowns bought from other retailers usually have the original price tags attached, so customers can see the savings instantly.

I used Something Old Something New for my senior ball dress it was gorgous. The owner is always there and is sooo helpful. She leaves you alone if you just want to browse, and helps you find dresses in the styles and price range you want.

I purchased my dress from Something Old Something New Bridal on Erie Blvd. I got the gress, the vail and the train for under $500. The dressing rooms are large with full lenght mirrors. The simstress Marie works in the store right with you. They take walk-ins. I have a very positive experice there. I encouraged my bridal party to try to get dresses from there also.

I would recommend not buying your dress from David's Bridal....the sales people are pushy, rude, and over bearing. Stores I would Suggested........I have my dress and I had an EXCELLENT experience at each these Bridal stores:
