Where to buy a budget wedding gown other than David's Bridal?

I am looking to spend under $500 on my wedding dress and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to shop for a bridal gown other than David's Bridal? I have heard many negative things about DB so I am hesitant to shop there.

Ebay is a great choice, you can ussually save up to 75%

Believe it or not, if your budget is tight, Ebay has a lot of great options. You can get display dresses for less than your pair of shoes may cost. I was Googling for a certain dress that I wanted and the Ebay link popped up and there was my dress! I bought it for $50, new because it was a display and that dress was only sold to order. Just don't rule out Ebay, a lot of dresses are never worn before.

I went there to look..at first I was going to Davids Bridal but I wanted to check this place out...my mom got her wedding dress there 20 years ago and now so did I. They are very nice and they know what they are talking about. Many good deals. I bought my dress, veil, and head peice there. They do the alterations and preservation of the dress there too. GEAT PLACE

Hi. I bought my dress at NY Bride when they had their discount sale. I'd check them out to see if they have any events like this coming up. The dress I bought was off the rack and cost only $300 (regular $800) I am working with Something Old Something New for my bridesmaids gowns and they have been helpful

Also, there are some Filene's basement sales coming up here's some info on them:

Boston MA - Feb 22nd
NYC - Feb 29th
Paramus NJ March 28th

Anywhere from 1300 to 2500, depending on the store.
How much do they cost?
$249, $499 and $699.
What were the original prices?
$900 to $9,000 plus—Gowns bought from other retailers usually have the original price tags attached, so customers can see the savings instantly.

I used Something Old Something New for my senior ball dress it was gorgous. The owner is always there and is sooo helpful. She leaves you alone if you just want to browse, and helps you find dresses in the styles and price range you want.

I purchased my dress from Something Old Something New Bridal on Erie Blvd. I got the gress, the vail and the train for under $500. The dressing rooms are large with full lenght mirrors. The simstress Marie works in the store right with you. They take walk-ins. I have a very positive experice there. I encouraged my bridal party to try to get dresses from there also.

I would recommend not buying your dress from David's Bridal....the sales people are pushy, rude, and over bearing. Stores I would Suggested........I have my dress and I had an EXCELLENT experience at each these Bridal stores:
