Unique Reception Location

I am looking for a unique/ contemporary venue to hold my reception. It doesn't have to be full service. I can rent everything and supply the caterer if necessary. I really just want an open roon, maybe with hardwoods and a high ceiling. Any ideas?

I would suggest Emerson Park in Auburn NY, it is basically a huge building, beautiful inside, that sits right on owasco lake, and everything is DYI so you can pick the cater and everything else without the pressure of being pushed to a "preferred" company... they have chairs and tables there that you just set up

does anyone know where you can rent chiavari chairs?

I went out to Dibbles to check it out for my reception and there were two receptions at the same time going on...very loud and busy. Smelled when you walked in to the place. Personally, I thought we were being rude by being allowed to check the place out while there were receptions going on...I would be very upset if this occured during my reception. Ask a lot of questions!

Has anyone had or been to a wedding reception at the dibbles inn in verona? I've found that its much cheaper to get married outside of Syracuse.
